The electricity capacity at the Yingkou, Yuhuan, Weihai, Shanghai-Shidongkou-II, Changxing, Luohuang and Dezhou power plants has increased significantly as compared to the same period in 2007.
The increase in power generation at the company’s power plants is reportedly attributable to the newly inaugurated generating units.
Huaneng has a total generation capacity of 33,723MW on an equity basis and a total controlling generation capacity of 37,119MW. The company wholly owns 16 operating power plants, and has controlling interests in 13 operating power companies and minority interests in five operating power companies.
