The wind farm includes 152 units of Gamesa G90 turbines with a capacity of 2MW each.
Iberdrola signed a power purchase agreement with US firm FirstEnergy Solutions in February last year for 100MW of the total output of the project over the next 20 years.
The firm has also announced that it has commenced work on the Manzana wind power project located near the town of Rosamond in California.
The company has also signed two agreements for the power generated by this facility; the first agreement is with San Diego Gas & Electric company, which will receive the 100MW of power generated over the next 20 years.
The second agreement has been signed with Silicon Valley Power, which will receive 50MW of the energy produced over the same period.
