The company said the enclosures are heated environmental shelters which protect the TR units that control the ICCP system on each of the platforms legs and superstructure.
The enclosures transport the TR units around the platform during the installation phase of the project.
IDAC created a 3D finite element model which was analysed using finite element analysis (FEA) FEA software, ANSYS.
The assessment found that there were no significant areas beyond the yield stress and ultimate tensile strength of the material.
The FEA Analysis enabled the validation of the enclosure design therefore allowing Cathelco to supply the enclosure to its clients.
