The entire solar project will cost about €2.4bn and comprises an area of 48km².

The first project will see the construction of a 10MW photovoltaic power plant, and the construction works are scheduled to begin in this year.

The solar plant will be connected to the grid in mid 2013.

ILF Munich managing director Bernhard Lässer said the company will be working on this project from the study for the entire 1,000MW solar park with CSP/PV technologies to the tender design, the site supervision, the start-up and the acceptance test for the 10MW photovoltaic power plant.

"It is one of ILF’s core competences to provide one-stop-shop solutions for design and management services," Lässer said.

The developers aims to reach the overall goal is to reach a capacity of 1,000MW by the year 2030.
