The nuclear agreement and four other agreements were also signed after talks between Manmohan Singh, Indian prime minister and Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, Mongolian president.

Already, India has signed civil nuclear agreements with US, Russia, France, Kazakhstan and Namibia.

“We have signed agreements in the field of peaceful uses of radioactive minerals and nuclear energy, health, culture and statistics. India will provide Mongolia a soft loan of $25 million to help it to stabilise its economy in the wake of the global financial crisis,” said Manmohan Singh.
