The project tenements EPC 2194, 2195, 2196 and the EPC application 2631 located 45km to the north of the proposed New Hope Energy’s Colton Mine, lie in a potential hard coking coal region.

The main target is Cretaceous hard coking coals and several exploration targets have been determined with an exploration target of 280 to 370 million tons.

The company plans landholder engagement and cultural heritage surveys to be managed in the short term while seismic data collection and interpretation will commence within the next few weeks and will comprise 11 open (chip) holes and 3 partially cored holes.

Expressions of interest for the field program are now being assessed and field work will commence by September or October 2012.

A previously prepared Moultrie Group report found that EPC’s 2194 and 2196 have the potential for Coking Coal discovery and contain two target exploration coal-bearing units, Burrum Coal Measures and Maryborough Formation.
