The output drivers of the new AUIRS4427S feature a high pulse current buffer stage for the minimum driver cross-conduction and matched propagation delay for both channels. Negative voltage spike (Vs) immunity is offered to protect against catastrophic events during high-current switching and short circuit conditions.

With its benchmark negative voltage spike immunity and matched propagation delay, the AUIRS4427S is an extremely rugged dual low-side driver that enables fast switching speeds making the device ideally suited to high power DC-DC converters and powertrain applications, stated Henning Hauenstein, vice president of International Rectifier’s Automotive Products.

The new device is 3.3V and 5V logic compatible with the standard CMOS or LSTTL output, which features gate voltage (VOUT) up to 20V, CMOS Schmitt-triggered inputs, two independent gate drivers, and outputs in phase with inputs.

The new IC uses International Rectifier’s advanced high-voltage IC process that includes high-voltage level-shifting and termination technology to deliver advanced electrical over-stress protection and high field reliability.
