The investment will expand the capacity of green acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (green ABS) by 70,000 tonnes per year from 2012.
Currently, the company produces around 40,000 to 50,000 tonnes annually at its petrochemical complex in Rayong.
The green ABS, produced from para rubber, is a speciality chemical product of the styrenic type.
Additionally, the company also manufactures styrenic products such as methyl methacrylate butadience styrene, which is a powder additive used in the making of impactresistant, opaque and transparent plastic, ABS powder and an antidripping additive powder.
