The testing of reactor vessel, manufactured by Izhorskiye Zavody, has been conducted on test stand in accordance with the ‘programme and methods for hydrostatic testing’.
Following the technology maximal pressure of 24.5 mPa was created in the reactor vessel in the course of hydro-testing.
The testing of the product proved durability of the base metal and welded junctions.
Expert commission consisting the representatives of OKB Gidropress, FSUE VO Safety, JSC Atomenergoproekt, JSC Energoatom and Izhorskiye Zavody have evaluated test results.
Currently, experts of the company are preparing for check assembly of the reactor vessel internals and the cover of the upper unit.
The equipment will be delivered to the construction site in 2013.
The contract for manufacturing and delivery of the equipment for Novovoronezh NPP-2 (NNPP-2) was signed in 2007.
The agreement includes manufacturing of two major equipment sets for NPP-2006 project reactor unit, particularly reactor vessels, steam generator vessels, vessel internals of overall weight more than 3500 tons.
