JinkoSolar will supply 94MW of solar panels to Acciona and its South African partner, Oakleaf Investment Holdings 86, for a solar power plant located in Northern Cape Province, South Africa.

Delivery of the 319,600 JinkoSolar PV modules to the plant will start in November 2013 with an expectation to produce approximately 206GWh per year of output.

JinkoSolar will also supply 24MW for the Royalla PV power plant in Australia. Around 81,600 modules will be used in the plant to produce energy for 4,500 Canberra houses.

In addition, the agreement covers 156MW of further solar modules to Acciona, subject to further talks between the two companies.

JinkoSolar chairman Xiande Li said the company is happy to fix this big contract with Acciona, and it is an honor to work with Acciona on the milestone project in South Africa and Australia as a beginning, which will not only substantially diversify South Africa and Australia’s clean energy mix, but will also set a good example of solar energy."

"We will work closely with Acciona, our reliable partner, to fulfill our shared commitment to delivering affordable solar electricity to the world," Li added.
