The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the European Union (EU) have launched a five year programme intended to stimulate and support energy projects. The EU is contributing around $15 million. The scheme is to help energy industries in both areas formulate policies for the future and will involve training programmes, feasibility studies, seminars and study tours.
