The $42m power project was constructed in conjunction with the 19.8MW Adams wind facility, which is also located in Meeker County.
Juhl Wind developed and acted as the owner’s representative for the construction phase for both the power projects.
The company started developing the Danielson project in December 2009 and construction work commenced in October 2010.
Xcel Energy has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Juhl Wind to buy the electricity generated from the Danielson project, which consists of 12 units of Alstom ECO 86 wind turbine.
