The wind farm, located in Grant County in southwestern Minnesota, consists of 10 units of Suzlon S88-2.1MW turbine.

At full capacity, the facility produces enough energy to power about 7,000 homes.

Electricity generated by the wind farm, which has been operational since March 2010, is sold to Northern States Power, a subsidiary of Xcel Energy, under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

Olympus Power chairman Dean Vanech said that the purchase of this asset is consistent with the company’s goals to acquire and build clean energy projects.

Juhl Wind is a community based wind power development and management company.
