The 5MW project will be a community-owned and operated facility and will be located in Southeast Minnesota. It will consist of a locally controlled LLC made up of Gundersen Lutheran Hospital headquartered in La Crosse Wisconsin and an equity partner.
Juhl Wind has been assisting Gundersen Lutheran in the development of the project since the fall of 2009 and will now provide full-scale, development and construction oversight services for the project.
The wind farm is planned to begin construction in the fourth quarter of 2010 and will be completed in 2011. It will be funded by GL Wind.
