Based on 3,500 kWh as the average annual consumption for an Italian family, this production corresponds to the electricity demand of 522 families. The CO2 savings will be about 915 tons per year.
The company will have a 20 year lease agreement with the hall operator, Veronamercato for the use of the market hall roof.
This collaboration between juwi and Veronamercato stands as an example of a partnership with communities with suitable ground or rooftop spaces. “Starting with this project, we want to build up our working relationship with industry companies and energy suppliers in completing turnkey rooftop installations or free field power plants, also and especially in Italy,” says Matthias Willenbacher, founder and CEO of the juwi group. The plant in Verona is an important project for continuing to gain ground in the region.
