The Isimba project will be located downstream of the 250MW Bujagali project which is presently under construction. The plant will have an installed capacity of at least 100MW, and the water flow rate at the proposed site ranges between 700m3 to 900m3/sec, at an estimated head of 16m.
The feasibility study is scheduled for completion towards the end of 2010. Ugandan company Kagga and Partners will act as sub-consultant to the JV.
