As per the collaboration, BNRI will make a substantial commitment to fund the continued development, construction and operations of K Road’s utility scale solar power portfolio.
K Road’s near term portfolio includes the 850MW K Road Calico solar project in San Bernardino County, California, and the 350MW K Road Moapa solar project north of Las Vegas.
Together these projects, K Road will generate will generate clean, reliable and renewable electricity for over 700,000 homes in California and Nevada.
K Road managing partner Gerrit Nicholas said partnering with BNRI better positions K Road to continue to build and operate clean, efficient renewable generation assets helping California and the rest of the US to evolve into lower carbon economies.
