Carried out under the supervision of Turboatom’s specialists, the pre-commissioning activities included checking temperature condition of guide bearing and head under the cover of hydraulic turbine; and all the parameters met the required criteria.
Specialists have also provided installation supervision, took part in pre-commissioning and commenced operations of the supplied equipment.
Turboatom has installed a new runner and guide vane as part of the modernization of the unit six at the plant under a contract signed in 2012.
The modernization works have increased the unit’s capacity from 51.8MW to 54MW and enhanced the reliability and service life of the turbine.
Turboatom has modernized all six hydraulic turbines of Kahovskaya HPP during the period from 2000 to 2013.
