The first INR4.63bn ($75m) contract from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation covers supply and installation of 171km 400kV D/C transmission line.

KPT will also install a 160km cross-country liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pipeline under a separate INR940m ($15.3m) contract from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).

Commenting on the contract, KPT managing director Ranjit Singh said, "The order pipeline remains strong this year. In the first half we have won orders worth Rs 1,750 crore and expect the momentum to continue in the second half also, as many projects are in the final stage of award."
