The Aripuanã Zinc Project covers 820km² mineralized massive-sulphide district that includes five areas of mineralization over a 25km strike length.

The project is focused on defining higher grade zones at the property. Exploration has indicated that zinc content varies from greater than 10.8% to less than 1.9%.

The Aripuanã project is operated by Votorantim Metais, which owns 70% stake in the project.

A drilling program worth $5m was initiated on 18 February 2012 and current drilling program was initiated by Votorantim with focus on upgrading the majority of the indicated and inferred mineral resources at Aripuanã to the measured and indicated mineral resource categories.

Upgrades from the drilling will enable the company to revise the mineral resource estimate. Votorantim plans to release the results in 2013.
