Under the terms of the contract, KBR Building Group will provide general contracting services for the new 160,000ft² precast industrial manufacturing facility.

The facility will include production, research and development, warehouse and distribution operations, plant utilities, raw material storage, maintenance operations, and corporate offices for the firm.

KBR Building Group president Philip Southerland said, "CTL Packaging selected KBR Building Group to construct this important facility based on our long-time presence in the Carolinas and our solid experience in building industrial and manufacturing facilities — particularly our expertise in the pharmaceutical and food sectors."

Upon completion, the manufacturing complex will utilize an injection molding process to produce plastic tubes and caps for cosmetics and personal care products.

KBR is a global engineering, construction and services company supporting the energy, hydrocarbon, government services, minerals, civil infrastructure, power, industrial, and commercial markets.
