The contract has been awarded on behalf of Abu Dhabi National Oil (ADNOC) to manage front end engineering design (FEED) phase of the Hail & Ghasha development project in Abu Dhabi.
KBR will also offer PMC services for the detailed engineering phase of the project, as part of a contract with Occidental of Abu Dhabi.
Occidental, along with OMV Offshore Abu Dhabi, is managing Hail & Ghasha sour gas project.
As per terms of the deal, KBR will offer project management consultancy services, which is expected to be carried out for two years.
Hail & Ghasha Project, which is one of the largest sour gas fields, is expected to generate around one billion cubic ft of sour gas per day.
According to KBR, the infrastructure requirement for the Hail & Ghasha project includes a minimum of eleven offshore artificial islands to be designed and constructed.
