The company intends to start construction of the project in the third quarter of 2014 with commissioning expected by the end of December 2015.

To be built with an investment of $400m, the project is expected to create 300 construction jobs and 12 to 14 full-time jobs for the project operation and maintenance.

Element Power will work with local, state, and federal entities on regulatory and environmental reviews to move forward with the project, which is claimed to be the largest in the state of Missouri.

The project, which has leased around 25,000 acres from over 100 landowner partners, will provide additional benefits including royalties to participating landowners, tax revenues, and third party spending at local businesses.

Element Power CEO Ty Daul said, "This project will bring tremendous economic benefit to the local area and we are proud to be developing it in Holt County and grateful for all of the local support."
