The company has received the order from Bhopal Dhule Transmission Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sterlite Technologies.

KEC will build the 765kV line that will run from Aurangabad to Dhule and Dhule to Vadodara and a 400kV transmission lines in the areas.

These lines are part of build-own-operate-maintain (BOOM) project awarded by Power Finance Corporation to Sterlite Technologies, reports PTI.

Engineering, procurement and construction managing director and CEO Ramesh Chandak said the company is pleased to secure this large value order from a private sector client.

"There are increasing number of projects set up on on the BOOM basis and the company would continue to explore possibilities of securing engineering, procurement and construction portion of these projects," added Chandak.
