Due to the increased demand for water treatment in Central and Eastern Europe, Kemira has restarted the polyaluminum chloride product line.

Produced from aluminum hydrate and hydrochloric acid, polyaluminum chloride is an aluminum-based inorganic coagulant, which is used in drinking water and waste water treatment to remove impurities from the water.

Kemira Oyj EMEA vice president municipal Remko Goudappel said in order to serve customers in Central and Eastern Europe more efficiently we have decided to revitalize the production assets of aluminum-based coagulants in Krems production site.

The Krems site will serve Kemira’s customers in Central and Eastern Europe.
