Serving as a subcontractor to Lloyd’s Register Group, the company will focus on the environmental and seismic qualification, and commercial grade dedication aspects of a two-year Lloyd’s Register/KHNP contract.
Lightbridge president and chief executive officer Seth Grae said the selection is based on the company’s expertise and growing global reputation for excellence.
"Our component of the Lloyd’s Register/KHNP contract was among several outstanding advisory services proposals to government entities in Europe, Asia and the Middle East with plans to create or expand nuclear electricity generation,” Grae added.
”Revenue from our advisory services segment is one of the previously disclosed sources of capital that will support the ongoing R&D activities required to advance Lightbridge’s fuel products to a commercial stage."
Pennsylvania-based Paul C. Rizzo Associates is the second subcontractor on the Lloyd’s Register/KHNP contract.
