An independent review of economics carried out by CloudMiner for the Epanko graphite project has resulted in a 55% increase in the project’s NPV.

According to the scoping study carried out in August, the project was estimated to have a NPV of A$213m, based on production of 40 000 t/y of high-grade graphite flake concentrate.

However, the recent independent preliminary analysis of the project reported to have increased the NPV to A$515m.

Currently, the GR Engineering Services (GRES)-managed bankable feasibility study (BFS) is being carried out on schedule and within budget for the project, and is planned to be completed by the end of June 2015.

The company carried out a flotation test with a head grade of 20.3 % TGC which resulted in 63% of flake greater than 180 micron, which is consistent with the large flake size results achieved in previous testwork.
