The system employs 768 Kyocera 210W solar modules to generate 196MWh energy per annum while reducing 62t of CO2 emissions.

Japanese government’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) funded the project with the objective of diversifying the country’s power generation capacity.

Marubeni Protechs was the construction contractor for the project providing engineering, procurement and construction services.

The solar power generation facilities are owned by the Republic of Tajikistan and are the first such systems in the Central Asian country.
