The results were procured from continuous channel sampling undertaken over five prospects – areas A, B, C, D and E.

The five prospects are reported to have an aggregate exploration target of over 17million tons (Mt) to 28Mt at a graphitic carbon grade of 5% to 10% for a 1.5Mt to 2Mt contained graphite.

Lamboo Resources managing director Richard Trevillion said: "These are excellent results and have enhanced our confidence of significantly increasing the current JORC compliant resource at the Geumam Project of 200,000 tonnes at 10% Cg."

As per the report presented by Korean Mining Promotion Corporation related to geological mapping and historical exploration data economically significant size and grade of graphite at prospect Areas A, B, C, D, E, F and G at Geumam has been identified.

Following the completion of clearances with local land-owners, the company is planning to commence drilling program at the project aimed at increasing the current resource base at Geumam.

Geumam is located 67km southwest of Seoul on the western coast, situated about 4km north of Dangjin City, in Dangjin County of Chungcheongnam-Do Province.
