To be developed by Lanco Green Power, the run-of-the river hydro project being built on Budhil stream, a major tributary of Ravi River, will generate around 313.33GWh of electricity (net) per annum.

The plant’s output will be exported to the northern regional grid through the North Regional Load Dispatch Centre (NRLDC), which will cater power to the northern states of India. The project will significantly contribute to the environmental, social and economic development of the region.

In addition, the company has also agreed to sell two small hydro power plants of 5MW each in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, to Greenko Energies.
