The systems are expected to be used to host Central Lincoln’s existing smart grid platforms, such as advanced Landis+Gyr meters, Gridstream RF network and a dynamic voltage management solution.

Central Lincoln Systems Engineering chief engineer and manager Bruce Lovelin said, "When it became clear we needed a scalable MDMS to support our increase in data volume, the cloud-based Gridstream MDMS was the right fit for our operations."

Landis+Gyr Gridstream MDM solutions president Dave Connaker said the supply of Gridstream MDMS through the cloud is a significant strategic initiative for the MDM solutions group.

"Our cloud offering ensures operational simplicity and a price point that ensures utilities of all sizes can benefit from an industry-leading meter data management platform," Connaker added.

Deliveries under the contract are scheduled to take place over the next five years.
