Shanghai SNERDI is an EPC specialist owned by China’s State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC).

Shipment of the modules has already begun and the units will be utilized for a solar project in Xinjiang, China.

SNPTC was established in May 200, to undertake research and design nuclear power technology as well as develop and deploy it in such areas as related equipment and materials manufacturing, project management, operation and service.

LDK Solar interim chairman, president and CEO Xingxue Tong said: "We are pleased to enter into this new agreement with SNPTC.

"Through provision of our modules to SNPTC for their project in Xinjiang, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to our customers not only in the international markets but also in China’s home market."

LDK Solar, via its operating subsidiaries, produces polysilicon, mono and multicrystalline ingots, wafers, cells, modules, systems, power projects and solutions.

The company’s principal manufacturing facilities are situated in Hi-Tech Industrial Park, Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province in the People’s Republic of China.
