The new plant will enable Leo to produce more than 1,000 units of Hilless 1, 3, and 5 scooters per month in the new plant. The new manufacturing plant will also allow Leo to have control over the manufacturing process of products and hence enhance the quality of its scooters.

Prior to opening this plant, Leo outsourced its manufacturing to an independent supplier’s facilities. With the establishment of the new manufacturing plant, Leo hopes to cut its manufacturing by eliminating the need to pay an outside manufacturer.

After the opening of the new plant, it is on Leo’s agenda to begin global sales of its scooters and to show its scooters in international exhibition and fairs more actively.

Dr Robert Kang, CEO of Leo Motors, said: “Operating our own plant will give us more security in protecting our intellectual property as well as cost leadership and quality enhancement.”
