Located in Haskell County, the wind farm is expected to produce around 1,000,000 megawatt-hours of renewable energy per year.

Combined with the recently commissioned Amazon Wind Farm Texas wind farm, LCE has commercialized 503MW of wind capacity in this year.

The project will supply clean electricity to around 180,000 homes per annum.

LCE CEO Declan Flanagan said: “I am pleased to reach another important milestone with the safe, on time, and on budget delivery of the Willow Springs project.

“Following the success of this latest project we are ahead of schedule in making $250m in project equity investments, a target we announced last year on the closing of our partnership with I Squared Capital.”

GE Renewable Energy supplied 2.5MW wind turbines of 116m rotor diameter for the Willow Springs project.

In October, Amazon has inaugurated its 253MW wind farm in Scurry County in Texas, which can generate 1,000,000MWh of clean electricity per annum.

The wind farm was built and is being operated by Lincoln Clean Energy (LCE).

The wind farm goes by the name Amazon Wind Farm Texas and consists of more than 100 turbines, each of which is more than 300ft tall with rotor diameter more than twice the wingspan of a Boeing 787.

Since 2011, LCE had commissioned around 1,500MW capacity renewable power projects in California, New Jersey, and Texas.
