As the Texas secretary of state, Mr Wilson is the chief elections officer and the chief international protocol officer for Texas. He maintains business and public filings and has acted as the Texas governor’s chief liaison on border and Mexico affairs.
Mr Wilson has also served as the governor’s official designee on the $200 million Emerging Technology Fund and the $185 million Texas Enterprise Fund.
As chair of the Texas governor’s Competitiveness Council, Mr Wilson has helped to identify competitive challenges for the state and make recommendations for how Texas could improve its economic position for continued, long-term success.
