Lundin has collected logs and samples from the well, and tested oil with very low mobility in middle Triassic sandstones.

The well has been drilled to a total depth of around 2,878m below mean sea level in water depth of about 340m, and plans are underway to plug and abandon the well permanently.

With 20% working interest Det norske is the operator of the well, while other partners include Lundin Norway with 20%, Tullow with 15%, Rocksource with 5%, Petoro with 30% and Atlantic Petroleum with 10%.

Lundin, which has proven and probable reserves of 194 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe), include assets in Europe and South East Asia.
