In addition, the company has resumed partial operations of its pipeline system serving the Kansas City terminal which also serves other petroleum distribution terminals further north on its pipeline system.

Operations of the truck loading facility and pipeline system were temporarily disrupted when a fire ignited after an apparent lightning strike at an above-ground storage tank.

The fire was isolated to one tank that contained approximately 28,000 barrels of unleaded gasoline at the time of the event. Magellan’s Kansas City terminal provides distribution services for gasoline, gasoline-ethanol blends, diesel and jet fuel for the local marketplace.
