The 1,920 acre property is said to comprise 96 claims.

Mapping and sampling on the property has begun, including mapping of extensive graphite bearing lithologies, sampling of the coarsest bands of graphite andalusite schist, mapping of structures and contact zones with flake graphite material.

The priority targets are andalusite schist zones, which are exposed in bands from 2m to 40m in width and show strike continuity along the 3km ridges.

Matica said in a statement: "Higher quality material exists in granite associated metamorphic zones and associate shear/ fault zones.

"These premium targets are the focus of the program in progress at this time."

An initial shipment of thirty samples is being shipped to SGS Lakefield Laboratories.

Earlier this month, the company announced plans to divest or spinoff certain assets into four new subsidiary companies.

One of the subsidiaries will manage all the mining assets, including the Grumpy Lizard in Nevada.
