The ground-mounted, grid-interconnected solar system comprises of around 12,000 solar panels, and is located at Manalapan.

Mercury Solar Systems collaborated with NJR Clean Energy Ventures, the owner of the solar system, and Spano Partners Holdings, the land and project developer, on the $17.2m solar power project.

The solar system is expected to produce 4.5 million kWh annually or enough energy to power about 450 homes every year.

The solar system will eliminate an estimated 3,100 metric tons of carbon equivalent emissions from the atmosphere each year or the equivalent of removing the carbon dioxide emissions produced by approximately 609 cars.
