Since its founding in 2006, Mercury Solar Systems has been expanding its commercial and residential solar electric and solar thermal energy systems businesses, completing close to 1,000 installations of varying sizes throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Jared Haines, president, Mercury Solar Systems, said, “The interest level in solar has grown exponentially over the past several years and since the creation of the Federal Grant Program for Renewable Energy Projects, we have experienced a tremendous amount of activity on both the commercial and residential side of the business. The incentives are the most lucrative we have seen, offering our customers Federal cash rebates or credits plus state incentives in New York and New Jersey. These incentives are a win-win for consumers who are environmentally conscious but need the additional financial assistance to move forward with a solar energy system purchase. We anticipate this level of activity to continue as President Obama continues his pledge to finance renewable energy projects.”

Rahel Rosner, chief operating officer, Solomon Schechter, said, “Mercury Solar Systems was integral in helping us secure the funding for our recent solar initiative. With a grant from New York State and the for-profit partner in the project that Mercury Solar Systems arranged for us, we were able to offset more than seventy-five percent of the $500,000 solar energy system cost. We look forward to working with Mercury Solar Systems this summer as they install our third solar energy system.”

“We recently had Sun Power solar panels installed on our building in Voorhees, NJ by Energy Enterprises,” said Ron Sussman, chief executive officer, CPI Companies. “We are extremely happy with the installation, and anticipate eliminating virtually our entire electric bill with the output from our system. Energy Enterprises provided professional and knowledgeable service pre-sale as well as an excellent installation experience. The combination of state and federal financial incentives and Energy Enterprises’ top-shelf services makes the decision to go solar easy and extremely rewarding.”
