After the rebuild, the plant will be remote-controlled from the Kymijärvi natural-gas fired plant area in the city of Lahti.

The outdated PLC logic controller in the solar gas turbine will be replaced with the new automation.

The operators will be able to carry out all functions and diagnostics through one system in the future, thus improving plant availability.

Automation system will be the center wherein communication between the plants will be carried out without a separate remote control system.

Operators would be able to view all information from the turbine in the Kymijärvi main control room, which will speed up the troubleshooting of possible defects.
