The Turkey Nuclear IPP Development Department is expected to accelerate formulation of the specific project conditions, such as the financing framework, power purchase agreement among others.

Specific tasks performed by the unit will include implementation of a feasibility study, negotiation of various contract agreements, preparation of a financing scheme, as well as planning of localization and technology transfer.

Scheduled to be built in the Sinop area of the Black Sea coast, the NPP will feature four Atmea1 pressurized water reactors (PWR), which are developed by MHI and Areva joint venture, Atmea.

The Turkish Government has signed a broad framework of agreement under a host government agreement (HGA) type commercial agreement with an international consortium comprising MHI for the project in October 2013.
