The company will supply two boiler/turbine sets for a power plant being built by Nabha Power in the Indian state of Punjab, while the other three sets will be delivered for a power plant in Uttar Pradesh that will be built by Sangam Power.

The orders were secured by MHI through Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a construction and heavy machinery company, and two joint venture companies established by L&T and MHI in 2007.

MHI said it will be resposible the core components of the boilers and turbines, including pressure-containing boiler components and steam turbine rotors, while Mitsubishi Electric Corp is responsible for generators.
