The company also received long-term service contract for the plant.
The power plant will have two units of 488.5MW each and are scheduled to begin operations in June 2016.
The plant will run on both natural gas and diesel oil and will have two M701F5 gas turbines, two steam turbines and two generators.
MHI will manufacture and deliver gas, steam turbines and auxiliary equipment for the power plant, while Mitsubishi Electric will supply generators.
Construction firm Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Public Company will be responsible for civil and installation work at the construction site.
The GTCC plant, which will be built in accordance with the Thailand Power Development Plan, will supply power to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.
