These supercritical-pressure coal-fired units – Units 1, 2 and 3 – will replace existing facilities at the plant.
Units 1 and 2 will begin commercial operation in November 2015 and November 2016, respectively, while Unit 3 is scheduled to start commercial operation in November 2020.
Each generation unit at the Linkou power plant consists primarily of a boiler, steam turbine and generator.
Under the contract, MHI will be responsible for the manufacture and supply of the three boilers and three steam turbines.
