The value of the contract was not disclosed by the company.

Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs will deliver front-end engineering services related to the infrastructure of the gold mine which includes buildings, roads, electrical and water supply.

Jacobs Group vice president Andy Kremer said Midway has selected Jacobs for the gold mine project.

"One of our key strengths is our ability to leverage our infrastructure capabilities to serve our clients in the mining and minerals industry," Kremer added.

The Pan Mine Project is an oxidized, Carlin-style gold deposit which can be mined by shallow open pit methods and can be treated by heap leaching.
