The grant provided under the PA DEP’s Alternative Fuel Incentive Grant program will support the development of a wireless battery charging system for the Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority and is expected to cut CO2 admissions by 297,000 pounds annually.
Momentum Dynamics’ proprietary technology consists of an integrated suite of hardware and software that can be operated with any type of vehicle and does not require a conductor to connect the vehicle to the power grid.
Momentum Dynamics will use the grant money to purchase two Para transit electric vehicles with wheel chair lifts that will have the company’s wireless battery charging technology installed in the vehicles and at a ground location to be determined as part of a beta test program.
