According to MRC Global, the company will also supply carbon and stainless steel pipe, valves and fittings (PVF) and related materials to BP, under the the contract which will end in 2018.

In addition, MRC has received downstream contracts from BP Chemicals in the UK, BP Europa SE – BP Nederland and BP Raffinadererij Rotterdam in the Netherlands and BP Chembel in Belgium.

As part of the deal, the company will provide MRO goods and services for the supply of valves in carbon, alloy and stainless steels.

MRC Global chairman, president and CEO Andrew Lane said the contracts build on the company’s relationship with BP on North American downstream MRO as well as capital projects.

"We look forward to continuing to service BP’s North American day-to-day PVF and European valve needs with the outstanding service levels they have come to expect from MRC Global while creating the most efficient and effective PVF supply chain possible," Lane added.

MRC Global currently offers service to BP Refining and Chemical facilities in North America, and is also a major PVF supplier for the BP Whiting modernization project in Whiting, Indiana.
