The company held the tender between 27 November and 4 December 2012 in Antwerp, through tender partner Fusion Alternatives.

Tender included an 88.54 carat D colour stone, a 43.01 carat D colour stone, a 1.72 carat yellow stone and a 0.70 carat vivid pink stone.

A total of 80 lots were offered for sale, amounting to 29,278 carats at an average diamond size of 0.2 carat per stone.

The company achieved 100% sale of the diamonds at an average selling price of $384.40 a carat.

Namakwa Diamonds chief executive officer Theo Botoulas said that this tender, representing the sixth Antwerp tender of Kao diamonds, is the largest till date.

"We have now sold a total of 167,450 carats from Kao Mine production, generating US$49.55 million in revenues for the Company," Botoulas added.

Kao mine is operated by Namakwa’s 62.5% owned subsidiary Storm Mountain Diamonds.
