The firm has been awarded the contracts to oversee the feasibility for a brewery in Glasgow, an ice cream manufacturer in Aberdeenshire and a new dairy farm-based system at Barony College in Dumfries.

Once developed, the clients will own the asset and also benefit from the feed in tariff.

Natural Power will be providing technical and project management services for anaerobic digestion (AD) systems for each of these developments.

Work on the sites will include preliminary site investigations to ascertain the viability of the project focusing on fuel, grid, land, technology and project finance.

Natural Power will oversee site design, tendering and planning activities at the Barony project.

The AD technology functions by breaking down organic matter which is then combusted to produce electricity and heat.

The technology produces low carbon energy and helps divert waste from landfill.
